Our "Watershed StewARTship" program brings students to the Gorge Waterway Nature House to connect with nature through visual art and creative expression.

Member all along the Pacific Northwest come together annually to share ideas, collaborate, and learn more about hands-on education through our waterways. This year will be held in beautiful Metchosin along Pedder Bay, creating access to experience Earth's treasures first hand. This 4 day conference will include many workshops, all focusing on the over-arching theme of "One World-United by Water".
A day to celebrate the oceans that surround us, educate people of the diversity of marine life in the Salish Sea, Victoria's Inner Harbour and Fisherman's Wharf, and show how making small changes in our everyday life can add up to a big difference to the planet. Funds raised support local conservation projects and green initiatives at Fisherman’s Wharf. Don’t miss all the fun activities including a scavenger hunt, Sammy the Seal, face painting, First Nations traditional dancers, silent auction and more!
Come spend the day in the park in the name of our Oceans! Look forward to games, arts and crafts, food truck, live music, exhibitor tables with partnering organizations, and interpretive nature walks. Fun for the whole family!! World Fisheries Trust is teaming up with Hillside Shopping Centre and our community partners to bring you a weekend of Ocean Science at Hillside Mall's Ocean Wall as part of Science Odyssey! Over the weekend, we will be showcasing the amazing efforts being done in our community to protect our oceans and waterways!
On Sept 4th 2015, World Fisheries Trust, Royal BC Museum, and Habitat Conservation Trust Foundation hosted a workshop for educators from Vancouver Island and the lower mainland to discuss ways to deliver environmental education in the new 2015 BC Science Curriculum. Over the course of the day, educators from across the province took part in a number of activities that focused on incorporating environmental education into the new 2015 science curriculum.
Tapestry Conference 2016 offers a wide variety of educational experiences for teachers, students and passionate people whom are interested in furthering their learning, both inside and outside of the classroom! There are over 40 workshops being offered throughout the day, including the fantastic Keynote Speaker, Eddy Robinson.

This series of four 2-hour classes is for home-schooled children aged 7 to 10 years. We provide nature-themed programs with games, discovery and activities which encourage science-based learning while socializing with other home learners.
