This series of four 2-hour classes are for home-schooled children aged 7 to 10 years. We provide nature-themed programs with games, discovery and activities which encourage science-based learning while socializing with other home learners.
Kids belong outside! Biology Buddies nature classes focus on the natural wonders around Swan Lake. Each class has a different nature theme, which we interpret through games, stories, crafts and an outside ramble. A joyful nature experience is always our goal.
Whether they migrate, hibernate or tolerate the cold season, winter wildlife have amazing ways to deal with this challenging season. Join us as we learn through crafts, games and activities how different animal species adapt to survive the winter months. Admission by donation - $5 per person suggested
They creep, they crawl, and may even give you the willies! Meet a variety of 6 legged, 8 legged and even no legged creatures and find out about their amazing adaptations and how many of them help us out. You might even meet Aunt Nanci, the tarantula!
