Join us as we celebrate all the members of the Deer family with Deer Bingo, deer crafts, deer games, and lots of touchable deer items. If you want to learn how to keep deer out of your garden and what to do about Victoria’s deer ‘issue’, you’re out-of-luck; we don’t have any new answers. But if you want to have some nature fun and learn about who’s who in the deer world, we can help!

Migratory Bird Sanctuaries of Victoria

Victoria is home to three Migratory Bird Sanctuaries which - along with Important Bird Areas and Ecological Reserves - make up our vibrant "Nature Hood." This amazing CRD-produced resource describes what a MBS is and maps out the different protected regions of our community. Most important, it describes how we can be stewards of our MBS. Burrrr Bash

Join Friends of Uplands Park Bur removal! These invasive species, including Carpet Burweek and Bur Chervil,  have taken over the Cattle Point area making it difficult for native plants to strive. With your help, we can revive our native plant population! Tools, gloves, and refreshments provided. Remember to dress for the weather and bring lots of water. And don't forget to bring your friends!

Oak Bay's Nearshore Marine Environment: Challenges and Opportunities

Join Leanna Boyer and Nikki Wright from SeaChange Marine Conservation Society for a presentation on critical nearshore habitats. This will be followed by a panel and public discussion on community action needed to protect local waters. Your voice counts! Other panellists who will be present include Dr. Rob MacDonald from Fisheries and Oceans Canada, and Sara Stallard from the Fish-Kissing Weasels Environmental group.

Our "Watershed StewARTship" program brings students to the Gorge Waterway Nature House to connect with nature through visual art and creative expression.

This year will be held in beautiful Metchosin along Pedder Bay, creating access to experience Earth's treasures first hand. This 4 day conference will include many workshops, all focusing on the over-arching theme of "One World-United by Water".
