Each fall, Rocky Point Bird Observatory studies passerine (songbird) migration from a publically-accessible bird banding station at the Pedder Bay Resort and Marina in Metchosin. The accessibility of this site offers excellent opportunities for community education. Our Biology Buddies nature classes focus on the natural wonders around Swan Lake. Each class has a different nature theme, which we interpret through games, stories, crafts and an outside ramble. A joyful nature experience is always our goal.
