Fall Migrating Birds School Program

Ideal for teachers who are unable to schedule field trips during the limited available timeframe, or who are interested in tying broader Science topics to local species through hands-on learning, classroom visits allow us to bring the learning to you.

We bring dry specimens and knowledgeable volunteers to your classroom to talk about migrating birds and how we study them - both through migration monitoring efforts at Pedder Bay and Rocky Point, and through citizen science projects you can do as a class!  Weather permitting, programs allow an outdoor component where students learn the basics of binocular use and bird identification.

All programs are by donation ($50-$100) and are approximately 1.5-2 hours long.
